WIN:A

Knowledge and Innovation Network: Work Research 01.10.2021 – 30.09.2026

WIN:A aims to develop and promote transfer structures and processes for applying work research findings while supporting regional competence centers for work research, particularly in coal-mining regions.

New regional competence centers for work research focus on transferring their insights into preventive and innovative work design to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). WIN:A primarily supports competence centers in coal-mining regions to enhance their competitiveness, foster innovation during structural transformations, and facilitate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI).

Funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), WIN:A aims to develop a tailored and holistic transfer model, leveraging the resources of the Offensive Mittelstand initiative. This model is designed to empower regional work research competence centers, intermediary organizations, and SMEs to unlock the potential of work research for regional economic development and AI adoption. WIN:A connects and supports stakeholders in building innovative and sustainable transfer structures.

The project is grounded in Transfer Engineering, which views the quality of interaction between stakeholders as a critical success factor for knowledge transfer. In collaboration with regional work research competence centers and Offensive Mittelstand, WIN:A explores, develops, and tests creative and innovative methods for communication and dissemination of research findings across regions and intermediary organizations.

WIN:A identifies, compiles, and translates key work research findings into accessible formats through the "Practical Impulses" initiative. This approach provides targeted and easy-to-understand insights, tailored to user needs, facilitating access to continuously updated research on preventive work design and collaboration opportunities.

Additionally, the project develops transfer media and qualification programs, enabling participating organizations to integrate knowledge transfer into their daily operations.

The result is a set of customized methods and practical models for effectively transferring knowledge into SMEs and intermediary organizations, particularly in coal-mining regions. These models are designed to be clear, practical, and easily applicable. Research insights are shared with businesses through interactive and participatory formats, primarily via Offensive Mittelstand's intermediary organizations. Furthermore, project partners will extend these findings into other research areas and regions, ensuring their long-term impact beyond the project’s completion.
